I'm Ian, a Manila-based product designer, researcher, and developer—some might call it a UX engineer or full-stack product designer.
With a total of 6 years of experience, I’ve had the opportunity to work across various industries, with a particular focus on finance, conversational AI, and mobile UI, turning ideas into seamless, user-centered experiences.
I’m a curious, hands-on problem-solver who enjoys blending design with functionality to simplify complex interactions and make a real impact on users’ lives.

How I work
I focus on creating designs that are guided by data, using user research and insights to inform every decision. I believe that great UX should consider both user needs and business goals, blending the two to create solutions that benefit everyone.
Through primary and secondary research, I ensure that my designs are both practical and meaningful, making sure they truly meet the needs of the users while supporting the business objectives.
I’m also passionate about mentoring new UX professionals. I love helping them develop their skills, build their confidence, and understand the true value of UX in driving business success, especially in the Philippines. Sharing my knowledge and contributing to the growth of the UX community is something that really excites me.

When you don’t see me doing “UX stuff”, probably I’m out training wrestling, jiu-jitsu, and muay thai.
I have been training since I was 16 years old and I just love how it is a constant journey of self-improvement and learning, both on and off the mat. (Very similar to the UX world)
